Founded way back in 1885, the Murtoa Agricultural Show has been celebrating rural life, agriculture, and community spirit for over a century.
We’re a small but passionate team of volunteers driven by our mission: to celebrate rural life, agriculture and community spirit, creating a fun, engaging and welcoming event for everyone. A few years ago the show almost didn’t happen due to lack of volunteers but thanks to renewed community love and support, we’re back stronger than ever.
Murtoa may be a small town, but we do big things. Today, the Show isn’t just an event it’s a celebration of heritage, a family-friendly gathering, and a chance to connect with the wider district. Every ride, display, and competition reflects the dedication of our volunteers and the spirit of our community.
Come along to experience the fun, explore agricultural traditions, and make some memories you might even leave with a new story (or a new friend!) in true Murtoa style. 🌾

We welcome you to join us in celebrating 140 years of the Murtoa Agricultural and Pastoral Society.
As a committee, we are passionate about keeping the show thriving and creating a day for the whole community to enjoy. We're proud to continue the traditions of the show so future generations can experience the joy of exhibiting their cooking, craft skills, or home grown pride and joy.
Were celebrating in style with an exciting twilight show planned, bursting at the seams with attractions and entertainment for all ages throughout the afternoon and evening. We hope to see you thee celebrating with us.
