Founded in 1885, the Murtoa Agricultural Show has been celebrating rural life, agriculture, and community spirit for over a century. Except for one year due to COVID-19, the show has continued to bring town and country together with livestock displays, local produce, rides, competitions, and family-friendly entertainment.

We’re a small but passionate team of volunteers, driven by our mission: to celebrate rural life, agriculture, and community spirit, creating an engaging, enjoyable, and welcoming event for all. A few years ago, the show almost didn’t happen due to a shortage of volunteers, but renewed community support has helped us grow and thrive.

Today, the Murtoa Show is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of heritage, a gathering for families, and a way to connect the wider district. Every ride, display, and competition reflects the dedication of our volunteers and the spirit of the community.
