Since 1885

Founded in 1885, the Murtoa Agricultural Show has been celebrating rural life, agriculture, and community spirit for over a century. Except for one year due to COVID-19, the show has continued to bring town and country together with livestock displays, local produce, rides, competitions, and family-friendly entertainment.

We’re a small but passionate team of volunteers, driven by our mission: to celebrate rural life, agriculture, and community spirit, creating an engaging, enjoyable, and welcoming event for all. A few years ago, the show almost didn’t happen due to a shortage of volunteers, but renewed community support has helped us grow and thrive.

Today, the Murtoa Show is more than just an event—it’s a celebration of heritage, a gathering for families, and a way to connect the wider district. Every ride, display, and competition reflects the dedication of our volunteers and the spirit of the community. Join us to experience the fun, explore agricultural traditions, and create lasting memories at this welcoming, inclusive event.
